Two forms of MacBook Pro, separated by over 15 years of refinements and two entirely different cpu architectures, suddenly thrust into the mix together. How can we have the slightest idea of what to expect?

And before you send someone to check on me, I did not buy another Mac, and the M1 kit definitely did not come from goodwill. 😅
